SOLD - William Edward Webb “Unloading the Catch, Peel Harbour”

Born in Manchester in 1862, where he lived and worked all his life, however he did occasionally travel around the country and also visiting the Isle Of Man.

Recording the various ports and harbours. William started exhibiting in Manchester in 1889 and also had his work accepted in Liverpool and the Royal Academy in London.

His work has always been much admired for the sheer volume of content, the enthusiasm that shines through all his work for his subject and the way he always managed to capture the atmosphere of the day.
